This is a direct quote from a blog I stumbled upon today. It couldn't state any more perfectly how I feel. There are few things as important to me, as romantic, as powerful as the soul-satisfying process of preparing food.
Oh, my time is coming. It seems to happen to all good Southern women. We are skinny while the metabolism is on our side, but as soon as it slows the pounds add on quite rapidly. We can't seem to resist the food even then though. Food is the ultimate form of entertainment, you know.
So explain to me again how you have managed to stay model skinny, despite your love affair with food -- because that's just not fair.
